Community Facilities Plan

The Shire of East Pilbara would like to know your thoughts on community infrastructure located in Marble Bar, Newman and Nullagine. Community infrastructure includes parks, playgrounds, sport and recreation infrastructure, community centres, libraries, arts and culture etc. Specifically, we are seeking information relating to what infrastructure you use, how you use it and what improvements you think may be required. Please note that this survey is NOT about fees and charges, lease or licenses arrangements or other operational matters.

The survey has been split into several sections, to make it easier for you to respond to the community infrastructure most relevant to you. You can comment on all sections or select based on areas of interest and your local knowledge. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of facilities in the Shire of East Pilbara, by contributing to the Community Facilities Plan which will guide direction over future decades. Long term planning of facilities assists to meet community needs now and into the future.

These sections are:

• Section 1 – Parks and playgrounds
• Section 2 – Outdoor recreation
• Section 3 – Sports grounds, outdoor courts and associated buildings
• Section 4 – Libraries and resource centres
• Section 5 – Community halls or centres
• Section 6 – Aquatic, recreation and fitness centres
• Section 7 – Unique facilities (those that do not fit into the categories above)
• Section 8 – Survey completion
