Notice - Proposed Parking Local Law

The Shire of East Pilbara proposes to make the “Shire of East Pilbara Parking Local Law 2024”.

The purpose of this local law is to provide a statutory framework to enable the Shire to regulate the parking of vehicles within the district and provide for the management and operation of parking facilities under the Shire’s care, control and management.

The effect of this local law is to stipulate that a person parking a vehicle within the parking region is to comply with the provisions of the local law.

A copy of the proposed Shire of East Pilbara Parking Local Law may be inspected or obtained from the Shire’s website www.eastpilbara.wa.gov.au or from the Shire offices at Cnr Kalgan and Newman Drives, Newman or 12 Francis Street, Marble Bar, between 8.30am and 4.00pm, Monday to Friday.

Submissions in relation to the proposed Shire of East Pilbara Parking Local Law may be made to:

Submissions may also be hand delivered to the Shire’s administration offices in Newman and Marble Bar, and to the Newman Library between 8.30am and 4.00pm, Monday to Friday and to Nullagine Library on Mondays and Wednesdays between 10.00am and 2.00pm.

Submission must be received by the Shire of East Pilbara by 4.00pm on Monday, 3 June 2024.
