Consultation has concluded

In accordance with section 6.36 of the Local Government Act 1995, the Shire of East Pilbara gives notice of its intention to impose the following differential rates and minimum payments on rateable property for the 2024/25 financial year.

The figures are estimates only and may change as part of Council’s consideration of any submissions. The overall apportionment of the rating burden across the above property categories is intended to remain consistent. All statutory entitlements for pensioner and other concession holders will apply.

Submissions are invited from any elector or ratepayer with respect to the proposed differential rates, and any related matters.

A document describing the objects and reasons for each proposed rate and the minimum payment can be accessed at www.eastpilbara.wa.gov.au and the Shire’s offices and libraries in Marble Bar and Newman during normal working hours until 4.30pm Wednesday, 22 May 2024.

Submissions on the proposed differential rates and minimum payments are invited will be considered by Council before imposing the proposed rates. Submissions can be made in writing until 4.30pm Wednesday, 22 May 2024 by email to [email protected] or mail addressed to the Chief Executive Officer, Shire of East Pilbara, PMB 22, Newman WA 6753.
