The Shire of East Pilbara is developing an Arts and Culture Strategy, and we would love your input in shaping the vision for arts and culture in the Shire.
The Arts and Cultural Strategy will be shaped by the needs and aspirations of the community, ensuring it reflects the diverse voices and identities that make up the East Pilbara.
We’ll be working closely with a broad range of groups across the Shire including local artists and creatives, cultural organisations, community groups, businesses, government agencies, and residents. Using a variety of tailored engagement methods, we aim to gather meaningful insights and feedback to ensure the strategy is inclusive, locally relevant, and representative of East Pilbara’s unique cultural landscape.
As part of this process, we’ll be at the Outback Fortescue Festivalon Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 August with a creative engagement activity, and will also spend a day in each township to speak with community members and gather input:
Monday 18 August 2025 – Newman
Tuesday 19 August 2025 – Nullagine
Wednesday 20 August 2025 – Marble Bar
