The Shire is developing in conjunction with Traditional Owners, Industry, Governments and Community a Tourism 2050 Visioning process, strategy and relationships. The purpose of the Tracks to Adventure Visioning is to establish foundational and innovative solutions to Tourism activities which reflect respect, needs and resolutions.

You will be invited through either through interviews, workshops or surveys to have your say and influence the future of tourism across the Pilbara.

  • The Shire of East Pilbara is undertaking the development of a long-term Tourism 2050 Vision in collaboration with Traditional Owners, industry partners, government stakeholders, and the broader community. 

    This visioning process — Tracks to Adventure: Tourism 2050 Strategy — aims to identify and implement innovative, respectful, and sustainable approaches to tourism development across the region. The Tourism 2050 Strategy project will serve as a foundational framework to guide future tourism initiatives, investments and implementation actions that seek to honour cultural values, respond to community and industry needs, and drive long-term economic, social, and environmental outcomes.

    The information collected will inform the development of Tourism scenarios and strategies to either mitigate undesirable futures or invite pathways to create preferred futures for Tourism activities across the East Pilbara.
