What is the Strategic Community Plan?
It’s the Shire’s highest-level plan. It sets the long-term vision, priorities and direction for the next 10 years and guides how Council invests in services, facilities and infrastructure.
Why is the Shire reviewing it now?
All local governments must review their Strategic Community Plan every four years. Our current plan was adopted in 2021 and is due for review.
How can my feedback make a difference?
Your input will directly influence the draft Strategic Community Plan.
Who can take part?
Everyone — Residents, workers, families, businesses, remote communities, visitors. All voices matter.
What happens next?
The survey and community engagement will run until February 2026. The “What We Heard” report will be released in March, followed by the draft plan being developed.
