Newman Airport Redevelopment Update - April 2024

To make Newman Airport Terminal Project 2030 a reality, the Shire of East Pilbara will break the project into four (4) phases of development. When completed the Newman Masterplan Airport Projects 2030 is projected to add $9.3 billion of value to the regional economy. This offers extraordinary value for investment with benefits felt Australia-wide.

Thus, Newman Airport Terminal Project 2030 timeline are:-

  1. Phase 1 – Scoping and co-design with traditional owners and final concept approval - 2024
  2. Phase 2 – Completion of Business Case for terminal, secure funding and procurement - 2024
  3. Phase 3 - Commence construction 2025 -2027
  4. Phase 4 – Finalization and opening 2028-2030
